MAROSE
Jurgën
1952 born in Emmerich / Rhine. He lives and works in Essen . 1985-1990 Study of graphic art and painting at the University of Essen | 1985-1991 Folkwang School with Prof. Sabine Tschierschky / scholarship Kunstverein boars , Rhineland Palatinate. Jürgen Marose builds his images in traditional layering of colors , from glazing to impasto layers of barely ahnbaren bright garish primary colors depth to muted , earthy and white deck Farbenan the surface , he added , the layers, the profundity , depending on light varies . Under the seemingly rapid brushwork , the expressive and simultaneously ductus dominated the objectivity of the images seems to slip into the pure abstraction of color. Nevertheless, it is quite in Maroses paintings to figurative and narrative paintings. In the haze of the colored layers develop reduced to a minimum landscapes in which shadowy figures move . This means that they move, a presumption must remain , because the images are of an extreme silence, almost motionless , as if the moment frozen in a snapshot when you look at the time-and space-less eye of a stormy hurricane. The lonely figures are as enveloped by fog, gone with the wind , such as hikers and nomads , driven or seeker on a path that can not be determined , which is not predetermined , not here in the fiction of the images and do not in real life .
