Gabriel
Belgeonne Gabriel, born in Gerpinnes Belgium in 1935, writer (etching, wood, lithography), painter, author of tapestry and stained glass.
In 1963, he graduated from the Academy of Mons (Hainaut). He practices a painting he gave up in 1964. He met Gustave Marchoul and discovered engraving. His interest in the trace, footprint, loss of sense of plastic signs, allusive do return to his first love: an abstract painting halfway between matter and elusive in his artistic work he seeks. alphabets form on the space of the paper, Gabriel Belgeonne is an extension of lyrical abstraction.
